How much does the UDT exam cost in 2026?

The exam fee and how it is calculated
The UDT exam costs 333.88 zł in 2026. The fee is 3.75% of the average wage in the national economy, as announced by the President of GUS and in force on the day you apply. The current rate is based on the 2025 average wage of 8903.56 zł. The minimum wage has nothing to do with it, so don't calculate the fee from that.
You pay the same rate for forklifts, platforms, overhead cranes and HDS, but one payment doesn't cover every category. Each application is for one equipment type and one qualification scope. Want another category? That means a separate application and a separate payment. When you compare offers, read the full equipment description, because the short label in an ad won't tell you much.
Indicative course prices by category
According to training-centre websites, October 2026, the course on its own costs roughly 600-1100 zł for II WJO forklifts, 549-1166 zł for mobile platforms, 580-950 zł for overhead cranes and 700-1249 zł for HDS. The 333.88 zł UDT exam fee usually comes on top. These are the centres' own prices. UDT doesn't set them, and your local quote may differ.
For specialised I WJO forklifts there's one example to go on: ODEKA charges 800 zł plus the exam. One offer isn't enough to talk about a market range. The same websites put LPG cylinder replacement training at about 150-600 zł. An employer or a centre arranges that training, and it isn't a separate UDT exam category. Ask whether your package includes it.
Build a budget from separate items
Here's an example using ODEKA's standard forklift offer: 600 zł for training + 333.88 zł for the exam = 933.88 zł. That's simply those two items added up. It isn't a new official fee, and it doesn't guarantee what the whole qualification will cost you. The course price comes from training-centre websites, so confirm the offer before you book.
Ask for the price broken down into training, the exam and any extra services. Check whether it includes practice on the machine, the exam venue and any language support you need. Add travel and the services you'll actually use to your own plan. If the package already includes the exam, don't add the fee a second time. Find out first what the quoted total covers.
Retakes and cancelling an appointment
If you fail, another attempt means a new application and another payment. At the 2026 rate, that's another 333.88 zł. Your earlier payment doesn't buy you unlimited attempts. Before you pick a new date, go through your mistakes with your instructor and work out what to practise. A free slot in the calendar is not a reason to go straight back in.
To cancel, give notice in writing or electronically no later than 3 working days before the exam. The fee can then be moved to another date or refunded. Keep proof that you cancelled and say which option you want. Telling your instructor in passing doesn't count as the required written or electronic notice.
Replacement certificates, renewal and study
A duplicate certificate costs 99 zł. Renewal is free, but you have to meet the conditions and submit an application. Keep these separate in your budget: a lost document, a renewal and a new exam each go through a different procedure. Free doesn't mean automatic. Nothing gets renewed unless you apply.
